When we're at the edge of becoming it would be so nice if someone could just tell us the habit we need to break, what pattern in our life is holding us back, or what thing we need to change so that we can get oriented and get going. But it’s not that easy.
In Part II in our series on change, we’re exploring the scientific cycle of habits and the tricky relationship we have with them at the edge of becoming. Change is a big part of embracing the edge, but it’s different than behavior change, process change, or results change. At the edge, it’s harder to see the individual behavior or process changes that we need to make because we’re so disoriented and unsure. More challenging than that, we don’t know the outcome we seek so we can’t really be focused on results change because we don’t know what the results should be.
In today’s episode I’m offering a new orientation to habits for when we're on the edge of becoming. I’m also sharing some practical tools that, with this new orientation, can help us create a success structure to move forward and keep going. I hope you find it helpful on your journey! xoB
